Chess coach Alex Mista (GM) with a FIDE rating of 2564 is based in Brownsville, Texas, USA. Alex has been a Grandmaster since 2003, achieving a peak rating of 2691 (USCF) and 2625 (FIDE). In 2011, he became the coach of the Polish Women's Team, earning a silver medal at the European Team Chess Championship. His student, WIM Julia Antolak, placed 3rd at the Youth European Championship in 2015, showcasing his success in coaching. Alex currently works as the Chess Program Manager at UTRGV, a three-time National Collegiate Champion.
