Lev Gutman, a Grandmaster with a FIDE rating of 2405, is based in Lingen, Germany. He was born on September 26, 1945, in Riga, Latvia, and served as a trainer for the Central Chess Club of Latvia from 1970 to 1979. In 1980, he emigrated to Israel and became a member of the Israeli Olympic team in 1982 and 1984. He has also played in the 1. Bundesliga for Enger/Spenge and earned the title of Grandmaster in 1986. During 1980-1983, Lev worked with the renowned chess player Viktor Korchnoi, assisting him in matches against masters like Hübner, Portisch, Karpov, and Kasparov. His tournament achievements include winning first place in Wuppertal in 1986 and in the Paris tournament in 1987.
Lev offers lessons in Russian, German, and English, with a fee of 30.00 euros per session. As an experienced coach, he is dedicated to helping students enhance their chess skills and reach new heights.
