The first stage of the Grand Chess Tour 2024 in Warsaw

From May 8 to 12, 2024, the first stage of the Grand Chess Tour 2024 – Superbet Rapid & Blitz – will take place in Warsaw. The tournament will feature the participation of 10 grandmasters, including Magnus Carlsen. The events will be held using a round-robin system in rapid (25+10) and blitz (5+2) formats. The prize fund amounts to $140,000 USD.

Conducting such a prestigious tournament in Warsaw underscores Poland's status as an important center for chess competitions and helps promote chess in the country.

The Polish National Team's Participation in the 45th Chess Olympiad
