Asghar Golizadeh (GM), a distinguished Grandmaster since 2010, is based in Tabriz, Iran. With an impressive FIDE rating of 2457, he is not only a two-time Iranian Champion but also holds a PhD in Exercise Physiology. Asghar has been sharing his passion for chess through coaching for over 14 years and is the founder of a chess school in Iran, which he ran for 7 years. Currently, he serves as the head coach of the Iranian national youth teams, where he continues to shape the next generation of chess players.
Asghar is an accomplished player with extensive experience, having played over 5,000 bullet games with a remarkable rating of 2708, as well as a significant number of blitz games rated at 2732. He excels in other formats, demonstrating versatility across rapid and ultra-bullet games as well. His expertise extends to solving over 300 puzzles, achieving a rating of 2523 in this discipline.
