Nelson Pinal Borges is an International Master (IM) and FIDE Trainer, residing in the Dominican Republic. He obtained his degree in Economics in 1980 in Cuba and became a Master International (MI) in 1982. With a wealth of experience, he also completed the FIDE Trainer course in Tromsø, Norway, in 2014, highlighting his dedication to chess education and development. Nelson is not only passionate about chess but also contributes to the chess community as an article writer.
With a remarkable blitz rating of 2558 over 1570 games and a puzzle-solving rating of 2397, Nelson showcases exceptional skills and understanding of the game. He is fluent in Spanish and offers training designed to elevate players of all levels. His coaching approach is tailored to individual needs and goals, providing students with a comprehensive chess learning experience.
