From July 11 to 21, 2024, an international chess tournament "Minsk-2024" was held in Minsk, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the grandmaster David Bronstein. The tournament featured participation from 204 chess players from five countries, including 10 international grandmasters and 6 international masters. The winner was the Russian grandmaster Pavel Ponkratov, with Maxim Samsonenko taking second place, and Vladimir Burmakiin in third.
