Orlando José Martín González, a FIDE Master with an impressive rating of 2320, has been a high-performance coach since 2001. Based in Camagüey, Cuba, Orlando has been a certified FIDE Master since 2014 and a FIDE Instructor since 2017. His extensive experience in the realm of chess coaching allows him to deliver expertly tailored training sessions suitable for students aiming for high-level competition.

Orlando's coaching style focuses on fundamental principles, and he enjoys teaching classical openings and positional play more than online live play. His dedication is to nurturing a deep understanding of the game, which he considers vital for developing strong chess skills.

Orlando has participated in a vast number of games, including over 22,000 bullet games with a solid rating of 2316 and 21,000 blitz games where he boasts an impressive 2505 rating. He also excels in rapid chess, achieving a rating of 2662 with 29 games played. In addition to his playing prowess, he has solved around 1,150 puzzles with an impressive average rating of 2419.

Lessons are offered at a competitive price of $8 per hour, and instruction is available in both Spanish and English (US). With a passion for teaching and a commitment to his students’ progression, Orlando motivates aspiring players to expand their knowledge of chess dynamically.
